In Positano, we will begin our Lemon tour with a fantastic tasting of Limoncello, a lemon liqueur produced in particular in the region around the Gulf of Naples, the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi coast.

Here in Positano and throughout the Amalfi Coast, Limoncello is made with a particular quality of lemon, the Amalfi Lemon, characteristic of this area. The skins are left to macerate in pure alcohol for a few days and then mixed with an infusion of water and sugar to give the liqueur a beautiful intense yellow colouring and a wonderful scent and aroma. The Limoncello which is obtained in this way is then filtered in decorated bottles of many different shapes that become a souvenir gift to take home to family and friends.
