This shore excursion to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast departs from the port of Salerno and will lead you to discover the beautiful Amalfi coast, a place of dreams, with brilliant views and small coastal cities, originally villages, which today have become international tourist destinations, and you will also learn about the ancient history of Campania, with a visit to the archaeological site of Pompeii, one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world.
You will find our driver waiting in a place agreed by you who will drive you in a modern totally equipped, air-conditioned and insured Mercedes car, before heading to the first stop of the shore excursion, the Amalfi coast.
On the Amalfi coast we will arrive after a fantastic walk along the Amalfi Drive. During the trip you will see fantastic views and along the roadf we will also find local farmers selling lemons, tomatoes, fruit and chillies grown on their land.
In Amalfi, the capital of the coast, a medieval city and an ancient maritime republic, you can visit the Duomo of Sant'Andrea with its famous staircase.
After Amalfi we will stop in Positano, the destination of celebrities, you will have free time to walk and to go shopping.
Here you can visit the Church of Santa Maria Assunta with its dome of colored majolica that will open up to your eyes after having crossed a narrow street entirely covered by a century-old bougainvillea plant that gives shade with its colorful flowers.

Pompeii is a dream place where time has stood still after the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD, whose fury destroyed it completely, and left it forgotten and in darkness for about 7 centuries. In the archaeological site we will stay about 2 hours / 2 hours and a half.
